Born in Ichhapur village, Kalihati, Tangail, the youngest of five children. He lost his mother at the age of two.
He passed matriculation and intermediate under the East Pakistan Education Board, then took his BSc at Shaheed Suhrawardy College under the University of Dhaka. In 1969 he joined T&T as an engineering supervisor, and in 1979 travelled to Saudi Arabia as an engineering supervisor under the Saudi government.
In 1981 he founded Dhaka Clinic Private Limited at Purana Paltan in Dhaka. From 1989 the company began operating in Tangail, and in 1996 indoor services were introduced and the institution took its present name.
A lifetime member of the Tangail Chamber of Commerce, he was known for his giving. In 1998 he established a scholarship at Ichhapur Sher-e-Bangla High School in the name of his father, Mir Yeasin Ali, and regularly provided books and financial help to students in need.
He fell ill following the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and passed away on 2 October 2022 in a Dhaka hospital.
